Take the Dan Ryan Expressway to to the Skyway exit. Follow the Skyway east, this turns into the Indiana Toll Road (I-90). Follow the Indiana Toll Road East until the Interstate 94 exit at Burns Harbor. Take Interstate 94 East to exit 34B (US 421 North). Go North on U.S. 421 (Franklin Street) approximately 3 miles until the road ends at the Michigan City Public Library. NIEF is the rose-colored building located on the southeast corner of Franklin and 4th Streets.
From South Bend:
Take highway 2 west from South Bend. Highway 2 will change to Highway 20 and further along, Highway 35. Continue west on U.S. 35 (Michigan Blvd) through Michigan City until you reach 4th Street. Go left, on 4th Street for two blocks. NIEF is the rose-colored building located on the left at the corner of Franklin and 4th Streets.
