Continuing Medical Education CME & CEU
The continuing medical education program is designed to respond to the identified needs of our regional physicians and healthcare providers by providing clinical education activities that enhance their knowledge, competence, or performance, and our hospitals’ mission to provide compassionate care of the highest quality.
The majority of activities are provided in the expert live lecture format, regularly scheduled series, and symposiums, and on occasion enduring materials. These types of activities are designed to provide the maximum flexibility to our local physicians and other healthcare providers.

NIEF is accredited by the Indiana State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education activities and AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™ for physicians. All activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Northern Indiana Education Foundation (NIEF) is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). NIEF complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices.
